I had a goal to become a HGV Driver since I was very young. Going to truck shows, spotting lorries the dream was always to be a driver of one. Due to commitments and the cost of the test time went by until I said that's it. I saved hard for a full year and went for it. I FAILED, DEVASTATED.

I then changed Driving Schools to LCD. Lawrences business compared to the previous training school was like day and night. Being re-trained by a fully qualified driving instructor proved well on the day of my test as I PASSED.

Lawrences lorry was a pleasure to drive with modern installed front/rear camera's. Very clean and well maintained. LCD provides a excellent service with no hidden costs.Only one regret, and that is I never went to LCD first. I'll be back for my C+E

This was my first time driving a fully automatic lorry, and I have to say it was an absolute pleasure to have experienced driving such an amazing lorry. Having passed the test, I would like to thank Lawrence for his help, patience, training and effort that he has given me. Having never reversed a trailer of any kind I was very apprehensive of taking this test, but the training and practise Lawrence gave, helped me gain enough confidence to go for it. A big thank you to Lawrence and Brian for all your efforts in helping me pass my lorry test on Friday. The tuition from both was second to none and tailored for my needs. The professional approach and yet friendly, personal interaction helped ease any nerves or worries. Both took time to explain what and more importantly why I should be doing something and what to avoid.

The tuition given was outstanding. I've been used to driving a car over the past 8 years so I had a lot of bad habits.... However your firms but fair approach to teaching helped me to cut out the habits. In turn leading to me passing my c test earlier today. Working on a farm from a young age, I had experience of maneuvering large vehicles and trailers, however I was quite apprehensive about driving an articulated lorry on the road. Lawrence put me at ease and was very professional yet friendly and helpful throughout. He was willing to answer any questions or queries that I had along the way.

My experience as a whole, was a very enjoyable one and one in which I felt I was being pushed to the limit. Subsequently I got both tests first go! It has always been a personal ambition of mine to learn to drive a lorry.  Lawrence was recommended to me for training. He was really good and was very patient (had to be with me) and put me at ease.  Although tuition was relaxed and we shared a bit of craic, Lawrence trains very much ‘by the book’, is firm and takes no nonsense.  All these attributes certainly resulted in me passing the test first time. I would definitely recommend LCD Driving Academy’s LGV Course to anyone. I am currently doing the HGV course with LCD Driving Academy and plan to also do the C & T course in the near future.

If anyone can get you through the LGV Test, LCD Driving Academy can!  Lawrence has a non nonsense approach to his tuition method but he knows how to keep himself and the learner calm under pressure. My experience with LCD Driving Academy was BRILLIANT. Without Lawrence I definitely wouldn’t have passed the LGV Test first time. I really can’t recommend him enough. I’m now seriously considering the 2nd stage in January.
